If  you are selling one on one services, whether that’s coaching services, graphic or web design services, copywriting or run an ad agency, you likely need to earn an income through initial one on one consultations or sales calls, particularly if you sell high ticket packages.

If selling makes you uncomfortable and you are plagued by sabotaging thoughts such as:

  • I hate selling
  • I need this sale so I can pay my rent
  • I’m taking advantage of this person with what I’m charging
  • I’m not sure I can deliver the results this person wants


Then your sales results and income will reflect these thoughts.

So by soothing the emotional charge and the beliefs you have around selling to people, your results will change and right where it counts…your BANK ACCOUNT.

There’s a saying that goes “success in sales is an inside job”.  Yup that’s right.  Success in sales has far more to do with what’s going on in your head than an expert strategy session process, answers to all the possible objections and a great offer.

Think about it, if you were talking to someone who you were considering hiring but they were all awkward and nervous on the call would you be turned off?

If you lack confidence in sales situations then it comes out as nervousness and awkwardness. Now practice certainly does help but how many “no’s” will you get before you throw in the towel and give up?
